Download NeoReader 0.67.1

Install the production Ubuntu package. NeoReader starts in Free mode; NeoReader Pro uses an offline device-bound licence.

After downloading the .deb, open a terminal in your Downloads folder and run:

sudo apt install ./NeoReader-0.67.1-Linux-x86_64.deb

After installation, launch NeoReader from the Ubuntu application menu.

Password-protected PDFs are identified and rejected with an explicit unsupported message; password entry is not implemented.
Office conversion is optional and requires LibreOffice. It was not part of the current Ubuntu acceptance host because LibreOffice was not installed.
Stylus/tablet testing was not run on the acceptance notebook because no stylus hardware was attached.
This Ubuntu release page does not claim support for other Linux distributions, Windows or non-x86_64 Linux architectures. macOS has a separate tested installer and release page.
